Healing Streams mission is to restore, refresh, and resource Christian organizations, their leaders and family members. We do this through seminars, retreats, couselling and spiritual direction. Each year Healing Streams takes on an international project. In November 2006 a team of 4 people are travelling to the city of Beni in the Democratic Republic of Congo. While there we will be involved in training Pastors in how to care for war traumitized women. This is our Blog!

The Congo Team is a group of 6 people who have been meeting together to plan this trip. From left to right, the first couple is Michael and Brenda Ben. Michael and Brenda are both C.A.'s and have a heart for mission and Africa in particular. Trevor and Jan are next. Both of them job share with Mennonite Central Committee and have done development work in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Ross and Dawn are on the far right. Dawn is the Executive Director of Healing Streams (see link on home page). Dawn will be the key presentor at the seminar in Beni. Ross is a pastor of Glencairn MB Church (where we all are from - see link on home page) Ross will be preaching during the seminar in Beni. Michael and Brenda are the other two team members who will be travelling to Congo.
