Close to the End
The seminar and the responses continue to be amazing. One participant spoke of how if a woman is filled with the Holy Spirit, then it is not possible for her to be raped. Essentially, it must be her fault. This created quite a commotion, as the rest of the participants promptly reacted with distain and renounced what he was saying. Such are the myths and Christian immaturity in much of Africa. It was encouraging to see such a strong response from the participants.
The responses to Ross's message on Luke 15, the Prodigal Son, were interesting. Some asked why the father didn't imprison the son? How did God take away the shame on the village? Wasn't the father partially to blame if the son wasted his father's inheritance? These are thoughful questions!

My spirit cries for the trauma these women experienced. My heart is grieved for the families. Yet you talk about an exhuberant joy that happens during worship. I pray that this exhuberant joy would permeate your being as you minister to the people. That you would walk with this unexplainable joy and that it would fill your spirit to have the strength to go forward. I pray that the breath of God would fill you each day with holiness. That you would be filled with the Father's glory that fills the whole earth. Isn't that amazing to be filled with HIS glory that it spills over onto his people. I pray that his glory would overflow from your mouth as you speak. Amen
I love you guys and I so dream of learning with you someday Dawn. My heart is with you my sister.
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your observations and thoughts with us. It is awesome to see how God is at work there and so glad that the tough issues are being dealt with head on! How to pray for Ross...wherever God leads him! Go in God's power!
